Stoddart Crane Hire is the leading local supplier of cranes in the North of Scotland. Our crane hire company based in Muir of Ord provides both CPA contract hire and CPA crane hire services throughout the Highlands, Islands and the UK nationwide.

Local Crane Hire Since 2004.

Stoddart Crane Hire began life in 2004 when David Stoddart, an experienced crane driver for many years, ventured out with his first crane, a Grove TM870. Recognising the need for a reliable crane provider with the ‘can do’ attitude, he proceeded to build a modern fleet of cranes, vehicles and specialist equipment to serve the varied industries of the Highlands, Islands and the UK nationwide.

Stoddart Crane Hire – A Family Business.

Stoddart Crane Hire now operates the most modern fleet of specialist lifting equipment in Scotland, and we are continuing to invest in plant, personnel and emerging technologies that allow us to perform at an ever-higher level. The business has grown to incorporate David’s children, Ewan and Kerri, who have helped Stoddart Crane Hire go from strength to strength over the years. Rapid expansion and modernisation of our fleet has additionally been overseen by operations manager Alan Farmer, with over £3 million being invested in our equipment and personnel over the last 2 years.

Growing Team, Expanding Fleet.

Our lifting equipment specification ranges from 5Te to 250Te, with projects being supported by a growing and highly competent team of operators, each of them skilled at negotiating the challenging terrain we are often faced with across the Highland & Islands. In addition, we operate a fleet of specialised heavy haulage, support and escort vehicles, enabling Stoddart Crane Hire to provide a seamless, comprehensive service to our clients, whatever the project.
